What is EMDR
EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based therapy approved for adults and children with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by The World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines Review Committee in Geneva, Switzerland. EMDR is listed as "highly recommended" for the treatment of trauma in the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs and the Department of Defense practice guidelines. EMDR therapy is often helpful with other emotional and mental health problems, too. For more information please visit the EMDR International Association's web site at www.emdria.org.
